Software Engineer on the Commercial Business Innovation team, within Enterprise and Security, which owns the Windows components that are the platform of modern Store app licensing, product keys, the licensing and activation of every Windows edition and subscription on all PCs in the world, code obfuscation to protect Windows components, and more.I was directly responsible for features such as S-mode management for IT admins, collaborating with partner teams to create new editions of Windows + their corresponding subscriptions, improvement and refactoring of code for Windows activation and the processing of product keys, and working with OEM partners to ensure a seamless activation experience for customers.Some examples:* Implemented new tooling and test infrastructure to enable faster scenario validation without requiring end-to-end infrastructure* Worked with partner teams to create and stabilize new editions of Windows Server, set up Windows 10 Education Subscriptions, and more* Collaborated with OEM partners to address critical issues related to OEM activation, ultimately enabling them to leverage new workflows that improved manufacturing line throughput.

* Developed a web app to analyze a variety of metrics in a TSDB, providing convenient data visualizations to identify the status of hosts and system health of core Yahoo products. Assisted in its integration with Yahoo's primary monitoring application.* Worked with Yahoo Mail production engineers to customize the web app to their needs, allowing for the correlation of worldwide events (such as outages) and code pushes to overall system health in real time.* Created monitoring dashboards for essential Yahoo Mail components, allowing for more effective identification of potential issues across worldwide hosts as systems are migrated from legacy to next generation components for millions of Yahoo Mail users.* Developed modern version of an outdated but heavily integrated and relied-upon system metrics dashboard, providing additional and improved data visualization for Yahoo Mail teams.* Developed CLI tools in Python, providing teams access to metrics data in the new TSDB and the ability to retrieve lists of hosts with exceptionally high metrics values in order to quickly identify which hosts were in need of attention* Migrated metrics data collection for essential Yahoo Mail components from legacy systems to the new TSDB, enabling next generation tools to properly monitor those components.
