The Arizona Lottery is a state government business enterprise established through citizen initiative and vote of the people. With 2,800 retail partners, the Lottery sells a wide variety of games of chance to entertain players and raise money for beneficiaries defined in law.; Primary responsibility is to work directly with customer retail accounts to discuss inquiries, update accounts, and resolve unpaid invoices. Maintain and organized accurate accounting records. Input accurate data entry on a timely basis.

Promoted to oversee and manage by accurately process payments received, refund processing, credit memos and reconciliation of accounts timely and accurately. Maintained adherence to corporate, accounting and GAAP standards; addressed escalated issues from employees and vendors regarding A/R; and ensured accurate and compliant A/R files and records in accordance with company policies and government regulations. Responsibilities: Managed and assured accuracy and timely processing of up to 1,500 invoices ($300,000) per month. Performs accounting functions including reconciling monthly financial reports, bank statements, creating journal entries and generate reports.Supervised A/R coordinator and monitored daily cash flow.General Ledger processes, policies, procedures, file and internal controls.Consistent communication with AHCCCS case managers and eligibility workers to ensure quality care & customer service to residents for Care Center and Assist Living.Reconcile accounts for accuracy and ensure transactions are recorded properly.Managed all aspects of A/R, including write-offs and adjustments due to changes in existing contracts as needed with proper documentation. Gathered and maintained required information from department managers for financial reporting.Perform collection activity by phone, meetings, sending collection letters and eviction notices on delinquent accounts.
