Built a marketplace website enabling group-collaborated product curation. Served hundreds of Facebook groups and 15k MAU as of late 2017. Wrote front-end in React and backend in NodeJs, backed by Meteor framework, MongoDB and AWS. Though small in scale, we are loved by our users. The company continued to thrive after I left and is currently profitable.

Android (2015-2017):Technical Lead at Android App Streaming team. Managed all aspects of App Streaming API from design, implementation to launch and integration with Google search, Ads and Play Store. App Streaming lets user play with any apps without downloading it. 1.5 millions streaming sessions per day as of Dec 2016.Wearable @GoogleX (2012-2015):Member of original wearables project (Glass) team in GoogleX. Owned search query and display interface. One of 3 members of the maps and navigation team. Owned location acquisition and data service pipeline. Created and integrated a customized Google Play Services for adaption to wearable hardware capabilities. Android Maps (2009-2012):Migrated Google Mobile Maps from J2ME on Blackberry to the first release of Android. Later, led major re-architecture of mobile maps to native Android architecture. Social (2008):Created the first social media development branch at Google. One of 4 founding members of the first Google mobile social team (Latitude). Created location-based social apps, including friend location sharing and geo-located status updates. Sole contributor of desktop Google gadget for mobile social integration. Integrated mobile social into Google Mobile Maps team.Mobile (2006 - 2008):Member of Google's first mobile engineering team, and one of two founding members of the mobile ads team. Kick started first mobile AdWords projects at Google. Created and tested several prototypes including a pre-smartphone SMS interface for ad delivery, ad targeting through carrier IP identification, and mobile landing pages for brand advertisers on the platform. Designed and transitioned the first mobile banner ads program architecture and road map. Search (2005 summer internship):Created the first personalized version of Google Suggest, search auto-complete based on user’s search history. Implemented frontend UI, server, cache, load balancing and data lookup mechanism.
