Guadalupe (Lupe/Lupita) Marquez, Doctoral Candidate. I am a Texas native raised in Southern California. My encounters with barriers faced by marginalized communities have driven my focus on community impact work. I have led federally mandated legal advocacy services and led national and international teams in case filings. I have directed organizational equity efforts impacting necessary systemic changes. I aim to foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion in my work. I hold a BA in English Literature, a Master of Legal Studies- Emphasis Nonprofit Law, will complete my Doctorate in 2024 and an MBA by 2025.I have completed multiple courses and certifications on topics such as compliance, diversity and inclusion, ethical leadership, project management, organizational change, research methods, and I am currently working on completing my research in my study, A Study of the Relationship Between Servant Leadership and Skills-Based Volunteer Motivation.In addition, I am honored to have twice been designated HSF Scholar at Hispanic Scholarship Fund, 2023 and 2024!I am known for fostering high-performance teams and driving organizational strategic outcomes. My mission is to use my knowledge to impact positive transformative results for those around me. I am a writer, a mother, and a wife. I balance my personal and professional life while joined in community with those striving to impact positive social change. I have mastered the art of Latin cuisine, “como agua para chocolate!” I am always eager to learn new things, collaborate with others, and challenge myself to grow as a leader and a scholar.
