I am an anthropologist and researcher worked as National Medical Anthropologist with Health section UNICEF, CO Islamabad, Pakistan (Polio/COVID-19/Typhoid) since January, 2020. Currently i have been included in the Pool of research consultants UNICEF, ECARO, Geneva, Switzerland (2023-2026). During COVID-19 outbreak throughout the country, I was engaged with RCCE (Risk Communication Community Engagement) Task Team to inquire about community perception for almost one year remotely. I am also attached with Institute of Development Studies, Brighton as Research Fellow for South Asia region covering tribal and remote areas in specific. I have successfully completed the TCV campaign as Provincial Field Coordinator by monitoring the AC SM activities. Currently, i am working as Anthropologist /Social Science Researcher, with CPPR (Centre for Public Policy Research), Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar, Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Previously spending over 10 years as Communication Research Officer/ Community Engagement Team Lead for accelerated socio-economic development agenda, implementation of planning, monitoring, social and behavior change strategies in tribal and areas of conflict has given me enough confidence to study development agenda through the lens of traditional values of the Pashtun tribal belt. This assignment, outside the ambit of my professional carrier, follows a career re-orientation achieved through a long academic engagement which culminated in a Doctoral Degree in Social Sciences with specialization in Development Studies and Anthropology. 14 years of diverse professional experience in the public/private sector coupled with my research based academic background has imparted me a repertoire of effective skill sets. I enjoy an edge in deconstructing the complex challenges of governance that constrain effectiveness of public service delivery and formulate evidence based remedial strategies and action plans to ensure speedy social and economic development. Being part of the Social Sciences field, i studied the traditional know-how and representation of diverse cultural society across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, particularly the lawless, self-governed and historic cultural land of Tribal Pashtun Belt. During my academic carrier and researches based on the Political, Religious, Social, Cultural and Economic development of different ethnicities across KP and Tribal areas has granted me an opportunity to frame the traditional values of various societies across the region.
