As a conservationist and lab specialist at Hovid Bhd, I combine my passion for preserving and restoring the natural environment with my skills and experience in pharmaceutical testing. I hold a BASc in Conservation and Management Biodiversity from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, where I learned about the threats and solutions for the biodiversity crisis.I have been working as a Laboratory Specialist at Hovid Bhd since 2018, performing various physical and chemical tests on long-term research products, such as water content, oil content, assay, related substances, preservative content, UV spectrophotometer scan, dissolution, friability, density, and viscosity. I use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to document and report the test results and findings, ensuring the quality and safety of the products, as well as supporting the innovation and development of the research department. I also gained valuable experience in identifying and managing insect pests that endanger the specimens at the Malaysia Natural History Museum, where I completed a three-month internship in 2018. I am motivated by the challenge and opportunity to contribute to the advancement of science and the protection of nature.
