About Luther Karper

I am a web developer based in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. I specialize in creating full-stack websites and apps using PSQL, Express, React, and Node. My love of languages led me to coding and now I have a passion for projects that allow me to express my creativity and exercise my intellect. I’m also a classicist who specializes in Greek and Roman history. In my spare time, I work as a digital humanist and create online resources for students of the ancient world. Using my experience teaching Latin at the secondary and post-secondary level, I created a Latin learning app called Legendum that uses stories and whimsy to teach Latin. I'm currently testing a full-stack student commentary site on the Latin history of Livy with a professor at Holy Cross. Once the app has been tested in the classroom, we aim to release it to the general public.
