I have worked 22 years for Weyerhaeuser starting in production (5 yrs) working my way to my present position as a Safety Manager (3 yrs.). Some of my other roles were process reliability (4 yrs), Environmental Manager (3 yrs), Management Systems Coordinator - ISO sytems (6 yrs), Quality Assurance (4 yrs), & IT support (3 yrs).During my time as a Process Reliability Champion I was the equipment reliability lead for I-Joist manufacturing for Weyerhaeuser. Focused on the processes and mechanical improvements in the manufacturing process. I also received six sigma green belt training at Georgia Tech.As a Management System Coordinator I managed the Quality, Environmental, and Safety Management systems at a production facility. I was also a lead auditor for other Weyerhaeuser facilities. During this time I also initiated ISO quality systems at 4 other facilities.In my role as environmental manager I was responsible for staying in compliance with the Weyerhaeuser Eugene Plants, air, water, and Waste permits. During this time, working with a contractor, I was responsible for the installation of a new Title V air permit for the plant due to production changes.As a Safety Manger at Weyerhaeuser Foster Veneer, I was responsible for implementing programs for reducing recordable incidents at this facility of 120 employees. Along with program updates and revisions, I was also responsible for training the employees in all Weyerhaeuser & OSHA required training (LOTOT, Confined Space, Electrical (NFPA 70E 2015), Hot Work, etc.). I was responsible for working with Workers Comp.I am now starting a new career path as a Safety Director for Advanced Mechanical. A Mechanical contractor based in Brownsville Oregon.
