I am a Learning Technologist professional with extensive experience in distance learning, working as Education and Training Support Officer in the Education and Training Office (ETR) of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), a United Nations specialised agency based in Geneva. The ETR office coordinates activities with the WMO Regional Training Centres around the world, supports WMO Members on their capacity development needs, consults on training activities, and works to form partnerships that can increase and enhance learning opportunities for all WMO Members.

Working from UK, under the authority of VLab Co-Chairs, my responsibilities include supporting theplanning of VLab regional and global training events, enhancing the VLab web presence,supporting Centres of Excellence (CoEs) activities, assisting the set-up and use ofcourse management tools and establishment of online discussion groups, and keeping the flow of communication within the VLab network.For additional information about VLab activities, please follow http://vlab.wmo.int

As an Associate Lecturer tutoring environmental science modules, I am involved with the Science and the Maths, Computing and Technology Faculties of The Open University.The modules I have lectured for the university include S330 - Oceanography, S180 - Life in the Oceans: exploring our blue planet, S175 - The frozen planet and S189 - Understanding the weather.Presently, I am lecturing the U116 - Environment: journeys through a changing world. This module is a good introduction to environmental issues and concerns. It includes views from natural sciences, social sciences and technology perspectives, addressing challenges such as climate change and sustainability.
