Managed a project supporting human rights defenders in Nicaragua. Developed program strategy, led project implementation, reporting and monitoring, managed relations with partners, guaranteed financial and programmatic compliance.

• Assisted in the analysis of the 2011 Nicaraguan Presidential election’s legal provisions and electoral procedures.• Contributed to Election Observation Mission (EOM) critical documents: preliminary statements and final report, regular updates to Brussels, election observers’ updates, and briefing documents to deputy head of mission. • Developed observation forms and other research templates, as well as processed and analyzed observer reports, and identified trends of the electoral processes at the national and regional level. • Presented oral and written briefings on the electoral complaints process.• Liaised with domestic election observation groups.• Monitored open sources regarding the performance of the electoral administration, election observation groups and the overall electoral environment.

• Designed and delivered capacity building activities for 17 civil society organizations (CSOs) on effective fundraising and identifying prospective donors for the USAID Institutional Development Program in Nicaragua.• Coordinated and contributed to technical assistance provided by senior staff, including designing work agendas and training materials and liaising with senior staff and partner CSOs.• Drafted program documents including regular reporting, analysis, and presented written and oral briefings. • Coordinated a structured study tour on “Leadership in Times of Uncertainty:” liaised between MSI and USAID, oversaw the implementation of procedures and regulations, wrote briefings on program and political developments, implemented pre-departure orientation, and prepared participants for the de-briefing with USAID.

• Tracked and analyzed open sources covering issues related to projects focused in Latin America and the Middle East.• Developed briefs on legal documents and Congressional hearing transcripts.

• Negotiated and advised on the design and implementation of a project focused on citizens' discussions of public policies.• Assessed and provided recommendations to improve the documentation and implementation of six projects implemented in South Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Projects focused on training women leaders in civil society, Electoral Law. reform, modernization of Croatia's Electoral Commission, and collaboration between political parties and civil society. • Designed and developed a database with key elements of legislation on civil society from 153 countries.• Wrote five synopses on programmatic activities of projects promoting women empowerment and leadership and civic participation. Results published on UNDEF's "News from the Field" and News Letter.

Developed written and oral briefs for technical advisors on NDI's project activities & country's political developments.• Liaised and organized training, technical visits, and conferences for NDI's political parties' projects: Political Leadership Program, Training of Trainers Program for Party Poll watchers, & Legislative Advisors. • Contributed to project planning and drafting. Managed two Program Assistants.• Coordinated the 2006 Legal Challenges Boards Observation. • Facilitated and contributed to the editing and publication of "2007 Democracy Survey" report in English and Spanish.

Results published in IEEPP’s web site.• Synthesized security and defense policy news in the integrated report “Regional Security Viewpoint.”
