Luz C.Polancoattended “Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo” where she received a bachelor’s degree in foreign language. She studied French at "La alianza Francesa, and Italian at the Italian embassy, taking courses in tourism and travel agency marketing. In 1985, she entered the hotel industry. She started as a receptionist at “Casa de Campo”, and later moved on to be the lead travel agent at “Press Tours and Viaggi Idea“. Her next position was a customer service manager at American Express and Banco del Progreso. In 1999, she became a guest service manager and wedding officiant at “Coral Canoa” and since 2008 has worked as a travel agent.
