Sun Tran is the City of Tucson’s public transportation firm, running all buses, streetcars, and paratransit. My main objective is to increase ridership through community involvement. To accomplish that I create targeted campaigns with clear, concise, and persuasive copy, and find innovative ways to reach the audience. I also provide training for schools, companies, and communities, participate in community events, as well as host/ create events, and look for goodwill opportunities. I coordinate our “Stuff-the-Bus” events, as well as started a “We Move People” group that focuses on Sun Tran employees volunteering in the community together. I oversee our public input meetings which consist of virtual and in-person meetings, as well as creating and conducting surveys, online and in-person. I am in charge of our four social media channels and help create our printed materials; brochures, fliers, posters, booklets, bus warps, bus stop advertisements, etc. In 2022, my campaign, Masked Heroes, was awarded a Top 50 Award from the American Advertising Federation Tucson.
