Luís Brandão has an MSc degree in Civil Engineering (Hydraulics, Water Resources and Environment) from FEUP [2015], a postgraduation in Economics and Public Policies from ISCTE-IUL [2019].He has been a collaborator of EDP Produção where he is part of the Hydraulics and Water Resources Area of the Engineering Department since 2019. In this context, his activities are mainly related to hydrological and hydrometeorological studies.Between 2016 and 2019, Luís Brandão was a collaborator at ENGIDRO - Engineering Solutions, working in business development. He developed proposals for several multilateral and financing institutions, such as the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, European Development Bank, among others. He developed proposals for projects in water resources management, wastewater drainage systems, water supply, and infrastructure mapping areas on 4 continents. He was also co-responsible for the company's communication strategy.Before that, Luís Brandão had been an intern at the Hydraulics Department of LNEC as part of his MSc dissertation. In LNEC, he developed analyses on the reduced physical model. The dissertation used numerical methods and comparison with a reduced physical model, rendering the first place in the Professor Paulo Santos Monteiro Prize. He has several additional interests in the areas of music, writing and graphic arts. He participated in several musical projects, collaborating with various associations and institutions as an interpreter and composer. His writing hobby earned him the award of an international poetry prize.
