Worked for UK Trade and Investment as an International Trade Adviser. I was a member of the Infrastructure team which comprises Architecture, Construction, Oil and Gas, Environment , Rail, Transport and logistics with a personal specialism in Water and Clean energy. The International Trade team provides advice to Small and Medium sized business to make a significant contribution to the development of the competitiveness of London businesses. My role involved advising companies with the best potential to grow as a result of their export activities by: • Identified businesses with the best growth potential for help with export activities• Acted as a strategic coach and mentor to clients to support them in developing their own long term International Trade operations• Facilitated holistic analysis of the business to gain an in-depth understanding of its current performance and potential for export growth.

I have a successful track record of leading large complex transformation programs throughout multiple countries and continents. These challenging technical programs deliver change across the business and required a strong focus on planning, costs and resource needs. During this time I have:- Had end-to-end responsibility for a Transformation program with a total contract value of $130 million for 16 EMEA countries. Managing an international project team of approximately 50 virtual team members.- Simultaneously lead multiple cross functional projects, communicating to a wide audience of project internal and external stakeholders.- Develop project definition and complex project plans. Manage project budget by reporting earned value. Realised cost saving in the program of $400.000.- Manage the program amongst different IBM business units to ensure a coherent approach.- Closely manage internal / external suppliers and ensuring all EU legal agreements are in place.

Successfully lead a wide variety of outsourcing projects. A recognised subject matter expert for projects focussed on assessing the risk and impact of major change on multinational organisations.UK (2011) and Netherlands (2010) (EAC $600K)- Achieved a clear and accurate risk assessment, acting as a driver for senior management to make key decisions in the outsourcing program.- Successfully safeguard business continuity while the organisation was highly subject to change- Ensured an integrated EMEA program approach by implementing a structured communication strategy amongst 14 EMEA country leads.- Ensured the service readiness and risk management concerned with the merge, by conducting in-depth reviews with IBM and customer teams members from a wide range of business disciplines.- Control risk and scope management of the outsourcing project ensuring cost savings.- Stakeholder management providing a solid foundation for a collaborative long-term relationship.- Participate in multimillion global engagements as part of business development team.

For my dissertation I wrote a management survival guide for IBM managers, which resulted in an information portal functioning as a first point of contact for managers dealing with HR related issues. The information portal resulted in increasing efficiency and the speed of operations in UK HR. The MSc research looking at the effectiveness of performance related pay was completed successfully as part of my graduation.

Appointed to further develop a newly defined governance body with the responsibility to create global visibility and to improve delivery. o Designed and implemented a structured global (3 time zones, 4 continents, 62 countries) communication strategy with regards to the technology drive in the bank.o Continued improvement to the governance body with a global scope by ensuring communication infrastructure and strategy where effectively maintained and used

During my internship I was employed by van Dam Machine BV in Shanghai. The objective for this project was to investigate the potential for van Dam to establish a wholly foreign owned enterprise in China and service the Asian market from this hub. In order to do so:o I conducted extensive market research on the Chinese dry-offset printing market, documenting and producing a constructive and detailed management report. This report was successfully used as part of the decision process to commence production in China.o Visited suppliers, customers and competitors to map distribution channels and sizing market potential.o Successfully developed business relationships by visiting conferences and government bodies in Economic zones. o Conducted a variety of supporting activities for the set up of a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise in China including finding suitable premises and communicating with the local government.o Set up the enterprise by interviewing and hiring staff, completing legal requirements and closing supplier agreements.
