As an Emergency Response Team (ERT) Instructor, I provided training and guidance to former military/law enforcement officers seeking to become ERT operators. As an instructor, I was responsible for staying up-to-date on the latest tactics, techniques, and procedures for responding to high-risk situations and incorporating them into my training programs. My role also involved assessing the skill levels of trainees and providing individualized coaching to help them develop their tactical abilities. Additionally, I worked closely with other instructors and subject matter experts to ensure that our training programs were comprehensive, effective, and consistent with best practices in the industry. I was responsible for conducting debriefings and after-action reviews to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to our training programs. My role involved working in a highly trained and specialized team to provide tactical support to other law enforcement agencies during critical incidents. This included planning and executing operations and using experience and tactics to resolve situations safely and efficiently. As an ERT officer, I underwent extensive training in areas such as firearms and close-quarters combat and specialized equipment such as breaching tools. My work required a high degree of physical and mental fitness and the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations. As an ERT officer, I gained valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and decision-making under stress, as well as the importance of effective communication and collaboration with other agencies and departments. Overall, my experience as an ERT officer has prepared me well for any challenge and given me a unique perspective on approaching complex problems.

Responsible for training Afghan National Security Forces in operational level instruction for C-IED methodologies to enable response to IED and explosive hazard incidents as part of a Mobile Training Team (MTT) at various remote locations throughout the Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan. Provides Partner Nation Forces with Special Operations Forces Training and provides instruction on current domestic and international insurgent threats, tactics and procedures to include; IED threats; explosive hazards; homemade explosive hazards and the planning process to respond to an IED/Surface Ordnance scene/incident in both permissive and non-permissive environments.Delivers group-paced instruction on current C-IED tactics techniques procedures (TTP), EOD related tools, improvised/homemade C-IED tools, to include explosive demolition and the application of explosives for explosive hazard reduction while facilitating practical hands-on training with specialized training devices, detection and identification equipment/methods and the theory and application of electronic countermeasures.

As a former Navy Special Operations bomb technician, I was responsible for conducting highly specialized and sensitive operations involving explosive ordnance disposal (EOD). This included identifying, neutralizing, and disposing of various types of explosives, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs), mines, and unexploded ordnance (UXO). My role also involved conducting intelligence gathering and analysis to identify potential threats, as well as working closely with other military and law enforcement agencies to coordinate responses to explosive-related incidents.As a bomb technician, I underwent extensive training in the handling and disposal of explosives, as well as in the use of specialized tools and equipment, such as robotic systems and advanced explosive detection technologies.
