I am responsible for managing my team's overall work, ensuring members work efficiently together within and across departments to plan and execute upwards of 1,500 on-site, virtual, and hybrid events annually.I advanced into this role after returning to work in person following the COVID-19 shutdown. To ensure a commitment to safety, and communicate our health and safety protocols effectively, I earned my OSHA certification and became the safety manager at my venue. From May 2022 to July 2023, my team successfully hosted over 8,500 in-person attendees while supporting close to 200,000 virtual participants.

I was promoted to this role during the height of the COVID pandemic, spearheading the transformation of our operations from a primarily in-person to a strictly virtual event environment. For the FY2021, I led our team in supporting over 1,000 virtual events with over 139,000 impressions from online attendees. As a result, my team earned the Director’s Award at that United States Patent and Trademark Office (2021), the first time in which contractors were recipients. Successes included redefining our customer feedback strategy, which resulted in a 75% increase in survey response rate, training support staff in new virtual platforms to meet agency demands, and receiving an overall customer satisfaction score of 98.8%.

I was accountable for liaising with stakeholders in establishing virtual events, managing the digital signage CMS while determining the content strategy and requirements, and delivering operational metrics on a consistent basis to improve business processes. I joined Sodexo when, at the time, the account was looking to make major technological advancements to exceed guest expectations and maximize revenue. Successes included leading the digital signage rollout which resulted in over 200,000 impressions annually, configuring and launching the Event Management System (EMS) Master Calendar, providing users a centralized location to view events, and overhauling the weekly/monthly/annual reports with visualizations for more meaningful insights.

I coordinated the registration, hotel, and air travel for several smaller, executive-level business meetings as well as for three large conferences, including the Annual National Conference attended by 6,000+ professionals.During my tenure, I created registration reports which informed future membership, education, and marketing strategy. I developed ground transportation policies to meet VIP clients' needs. One area of frustration I experienced was that all registration data had to be entered into the CRM software manually, including customer and payment information. Successes included initiating a registration process improvement project, which involved defining and elaborating requirements, creating an RFP and evaluating vendor submissions, and migrating registration online. This resulted in a smoother registration process for 70% of attendees.
