With over 14 years of experience in social media and communications, I am a Communications Specialist at Michigan United, a nonprofit organization that fights for social, racial, and economic justice in Michigan. I am certified in First Aid/CPR/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, USDOT Hazardous Materials Transportation (HAZMAT), and OSHA 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), which enable me to support the organization's campaigns, projects, and initiatives in various settings and situations.I manage the organization's social media accounts, where I create and optimize content, monitor and analyze metrics, and implement strategies to increase reach, followers, and conversions. I also leverage my web development, media relations, and digital editorial content skills to maintain and update the organization's website, blog, and newsletter, and to build and maintain relationships with media outlets, partners, and stakeholders. Additionally, I am the founder and owner of BBG Forum, the internet's first forum exclusively for Black women, and the author of "Change Your Mind, Change Your Destiny", a self-empowerment and business book for Black women.
