I started working with Kubernetes back in 2015 when it was still in beta working as a DevOps engineer as part of a solution for the Development Team that wanted to transition to using Docker and containers. I have been providing the Infrastructure and Platform solutions for development teams ever since. There is no greater satisfaction than delivering on a request once thought to be impossible.As being a manager goes, I managed my first warehouse when I was 21 years old. I have been in and out of management roles ever since. I have jokingly said in the past "never trust someone that wants to be a manager on purpose." When called upon, I have managed many successful teams. The secret of success starts with understanding that management and leadership are two different things. Management is ensuring that you and those you work with have the tools and the knowledge to progress forward. A leader points in a direction and heads that way, and the others choose to follow. The core to all the above, is being an honorable and ethical person.
