I am the Senior BI Consultant and Trainer at EPI-USE. I have worked in the Business Intelligence and Data engineering space for over 10 years with an emphasis in Public Sector. I completed my undergrad at Georgia Southern University in Information Systems Management, Minor in SAP ERP focus in Business Intelligence. My career started in Public Sector, first as a data engineer and report developer and eventually moving up to lead and supervise the Business Analytics and Reporting team. From 2014 - 2018, I was the ASUG Public Sector Special Interest Group Program Chair coordinating conferences and organizing speakers to engage the SAP customers in the Public Sector community. I joined EPI-USE in 2015 to bring my Business Intelligence experience and knowledge to work with clients on enhancing their BI Strategy, develop robust DW and reporting and analytics environments. I obtained my MSITM, Concentration in Business Intelligence in 2016. My technical background is deeply rooted in SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Crystal Reports, BusinessObjects and most recently SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere. However, I began branching out into other leading BI tools such as PowerBI and Tableau as the analytics environment began to shift.I have developed side by side comparison and hands-on training to guide several clients in selecting the most appropriate BI tool for their organization. Recently, I detailed the use cases for SAP BusinessObjects and SAP Analytics Cloud, and PowerBI. Lauren’s professional mantra is “Even the best BI tool cannot overcome an ineffective Data Story.”
