This project is for the capstone project of Engineering Management program in the University of Ottawa. Conducted market analysis for client’s energy saving drying technology, including qualitative and quantitative assessments, analysis on advantages both from technical and economic perspectives, and proposal on applications and markets in specific jurisdictions.

Lead of site engineering team, Maintenance & Engineering Department, BASF Polyurethanes (Chongqing) Co., Ltd.- Supervised engineering team (5 members) working for in-house capital projects (project budget ≤ CNY5million), from conception, planning, execution, commissioning to startup, with the target of delivering projects under budget, on schedule, of good quality, and in safety.- Conducted project management tasks and activities, such as project planning, scope of work defining, WBS creation, project resources allocation, project cost and schedule control, project progress overseeing and forecasting, risk management, quality management, etc.- Conducted change management of process modification and maintenance improvement to achieve operational excellence.- Planned and executed small- to medium-sized projects on MDI production site, including tank farm expansion, distillation tower modification, product deep processing, piping interface modification, etc.- Conducted selection of engineering and construction contractors, and monitoring contractors’ performance in conformity with technical requirement and design specifications. - Ensured the engineering practice was consistent with company’s Environment, Health and Safety procedures, ISO9001, ISO14001 systems, and regulations of local government.- Established document management system to improved efficiency of procedure commitment.

Project team member of Sino-Kuweit Refinery & Petrochemical Integrated Project, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China.- Collaborated with the partner in project screening, feasibility study, environmental impact assessment, etc. front-end engineering for jointed venture project in China- Developed project risk register and monitored risks regarding environmental assessment through project phases; and support Technical Manager by ensuring the availability of status reports- Conducted Naphtha feedstock analysis from refinery to ethylene cracker based on Kuwait crude oil, and downstream petrochemical scheme analysis

Project team member of Sino-Kuweit Refinery & Petrochemical Integrated Project, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China.- Review and comments on project studies, liaise with Environmental Impact Assessment consultants;- Responsible for performance and reporting analysis on the environmental regulations in regard to the refining industry of China;- Prepare the bidding documents in relation to tendering Environmental consultancy work;- Review and comments on the environmental studies developed jointly with partners;- Development and monitoring of the environmental risks through the project phases; and- Support technical coordinator by ensuring the availability of status reports.
