I am a proud First Nations member serving in the Queensland Police Service (QPS), currently holding the rank of Acting Sergeant within the Crime Prevention Programs Unit at Police Headquarters. With over 13 years of dedicated service to the QPS, my journey began at the age of 21 when I joined the organisation.Throughout my tenure, I have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to community service and mentorship. During my 10 years in General Duties, spanning across areas such as Logan district and the Gold Coast, I discovered my passion for guiding at-risk youth towards a positive path in life. Through my role in police mentoring, I have impacted the lives of countless teens, empowering them to make informed choices and stay on the right track. In addition to my policing duties, I actively engages in various extra roles, including representing QPS and Australian Police Rugby League in the media. Recognising the power of my work in inspiring others, I dedicates my time to initiatives like the current Domestic and Family Violence training internally to QPS and Cultural Capability training within the QPS academy.Outside of my professional commitments, I serves as a dedicated ambassador for Fortem Australia, advocating for the well-being of first responders and their families. Driven by my passion for people, I am deeply involved in community initiatives, from organising charity events like the annual 911 Memorial Day, which raised $10k for charity, to mentoring young girls through UNIQ. My active role in recruiting for the QPS reflects my commitment to nurturing the next generation of law enforcement professionals, providing guidance and support every step of the way. My unwavering dedication to serving others shines through in every aspect of my life, embodying the values of compassion, integrity, and empowerment.
