During this 6-month position, I worked on a US Department Of Energy sponsored project: "Fuel Efficiency Analysis of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Light Duty Vehicles".I ran simulations of CNG vehicles (conventional and hybrids) and analyzed the results on performances and fuel consumption to quantify the impact of using CNG Fuel compared to gasoline with same engine and resized engine.The goal of the project was to evaluate the impact of resizing and hybridizing for CNG powertrains.
