In May 2017, ESM Goh Chok Tong visited DAS's Parkway Parade Learning Center and he observed my class to gain better insights on how DAS helps our dyslexic students.I have also lectured a session on teaching comprehension and writing in Chinese for the Professional Certificate Course. In September, I conducted another session on Using Technology in the Chinese classroom. I have been involved in educational exchanges such as hosting MOE teachers and acting as a Supervising Teacher for newer colleagues. In addition, I have also keenly explored the use of technology by participating in the iPad trial in 2014, the Smartbar Trial as well as two M-learning week competitions. In 2017, I joined the Chinese team as a contributing member. Since Sept 2017, I have been part of the Center Management Team, which provides support in terms of placements issues, the management of students' behaviour and any other educational issues faced by fellow colleagues.

I teach students with dyslexia English and Chinese using the Orton-Gillingham approach: phonics- and morphology-based instruction integrated with oracy, as well as higher-order comprehension and writing skills. My students range from Primary 1 to Secondary 5, across all streams (O Levels, NA, NT). I work with students of all abilities, including twice-exceptional students.Additionally, I have also assisted newer colleagues to integrate into my organisation, as a buddy and as a Supervising Teacher. I have been nominated as the iRep (for Edutech matters) at my centre for the Oct 2015- Mar 2016. I am recognised as a Class Dojo Mentor and a Go Formative Educator for my active usage on the respective platforms.In 2016, I hosted a MOE teacher on attachment, and she observed and subsequently co-taught two of my classes.In 2015, I completed my Certificate in Dyslexia and Chinese Language Support. I am currently dual-specialised in Chinese.

I managed the entire production process of book projects from copyediting the entire manuscript to liaising with authors, typesetters, and artists. I handled about 8 books at various stages at any point in time. My projects are diverse, spanning tradebooks, monographs, reprint volumes/camera ready copies, textbooks and even an iBooks Author project. The scope is equally varied, ranging from corporate social responsibility to urbanism and sustainability, to finance and economics, and even a book on parenting techniques. I have edited and published 16 books, one of which was recognised as the Book of the Month.On top of that, I oversaw the production and development of three journals. Besides communicating with managing editors and contributors, I managed copyeditors, prepared journal budgets and analysed journal reports on how to improve turnaround times and developmental directions. In addition, I liaised with academics and practitioners to commission new book projects and negotiate contracts. I provided evaluations of book proposals for my editorial committee and finalised agreements.

Researched on key figures and companies in the local performing arts scene. Wrote 12 articles for Infopedia, Singapore’s electronic encylclopedia. These articles are fact-checked and integrate information from both internet sources and newspaper archives.

As an intern under the Online Media and Games division, I translated media proposals, official documents and game manuals from English to Chinese. In addition, I prepared company profiles for online media companies and provided administrative support for events.

Wrote literature reviews on covert and overt language attitudes and conducted Matched Guise Experiments, interviewing subjects on their language attitudes.

Under the Teaching Internship Programme, I taught Chemistry and Mathematics. My duties included relief teaching, preparing teaching materials, invigilating exams and providing consultation for weaker students.
