Engaged in a range of innovative business and academic activities, Prof. LYAL WHITE has extensive experience in business education and continuous learning, as a faculty member at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), various international projects and consortia and through the research and advisory practice Contextual Intelligence, established in 2020. Prior to this, Prof. White was the Founding Director of the Johannesburg Business School (JBS) at the University of Johannesburg in South AfricaWith a renewed emphasis on Contextual Intelligence and Leadership, Prof. White writes and advises on strategic thinking, execution and political economy in Africa, Asia and Latin America relevant to the purpose of business, impact and decision making. He remains deeply engaged in various education initiatives, with a particular interest in continuous learning and EdTech business solutions in low income markets.Prof. White is an Associate Researcher at the Brenthurst Foundation and an elected board member of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS).
