About Kenny Dow
I am Hsu-Kang (Kenny) Dow, experienced in C/C++ memory safety on RISC-V, 3D graphics System-on-Chip (SoC), wearable bio-sensor device development and team leadership across multiple national science projects in Taiwan. My PhD thesis focuses on building a system including compiler (LLVM) and microarchitecture modification on RISC-V (rocketchip) to enforce and accelerate memory safety algorithms. The results were published at Design Automation Conference (DAC) in 2021 and 2022. My work has been compiled into my PhD thesis and has passed the review with the recommendation of the "Dean's Award for the Outstanding PhD Theses".My previous experience includes leading a joint of nine labs research projects as a student development leader and successfully tape out a 3DG SoC (2014-2017) and a mixed-signal bio-sensor SoC (2017-2018) when working in the Digital Content and Multimedia Technology Research Center with Prof Ing-Jer Huang. I am also the chief event coordinator of the 27th VLSI-CAD Symposium (2016) and co-founder of a start-up company named Qoocki.com (2011).

I also maintain Linux kernel device driver for the SoC to support OpenGL ES 2.0. The GLSL shader compiler is augmented based on LLVM compiler and integrate into our API.
