At the learning center, I supervised students as they completed the assigned pages in their workbooks and checked homework and work they completed with me that day. Often, I guided students through challenging problems and worked with them to find the answer without directly giving it to them. Additionally, I privately tutored several students in Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra and digitally taught students for a brief period from March 2020 to July 2020. Aside from teaching students, I trained new employees and provided detailed explanations for the teaching protocols, and thoroughly cleaned and closed up the learning center at the end of the workday, which helped me develop a good work ethic and build my communication skills.

For my second internship at this company, I worked more on digital marketing, including web designing and social media. I created and scheduled consistent, daily content and advertisements for both Facebook and Instagram. Since SuperZoo, the most-attended pet industry trade show in North America, was held in August, I spent much time collaborating with several departments to plan the booth, displays, and featured products in order to have a successful show in Las Vegas. Although I was not able to attend the trade show, it was exciting to know that the content and designs that I created were featured there. I also assisted the R&D and HR departments with several projects and tasks, including researching and comparing data from the company as well as its competitors and shadowing HR in the payroll process (checking hours, 401k, benefits, and payout). During my time interning in the summer of 2021, I was able to further polish my digital marketing skills, but also gain experience in working in different departments, which makes me well-versed in many circumstances and well-equipped to assist unique projects for multiple departments.

At NPIC, I focused on analyzing and comparing data, reviews, and packaging from the company as well as its competitors using Microsoft Excel. I also spent time researching and providing extensive feedback on how to improve digital marketing, including website design and social media, since it was what the company was falling short on compared to its production and supply chain side. On the side, I worked with the research and development team to analyze ingredients and their functions in order to develop ways to improve the products in palatability and wellness. Additionally, I helped to pack products in production and worked in the warehouse to label outgoing shipments since there was a lack of workers on hand over the summer.
