Through my experience in the St. Charles CAPS Program, I have had the opportunity to create a pathway into the next chapter of my career path. CAPS has allowed me to grow professional skills like communication, creativity, innovation, problem-solving, critical thinking, integrity, and trust, project management, and time management. CAPS has allowed me to meet new connections in careers such as photography, marketing, and even graphic design. Allowing me to create an idea of my future and gain and internship in the second semester of my junior year and the entire year of my senior year. Enhancing my skills in photography, videography, writing stories, creating flyers, and exploring graphic design.

Through my Internship with Jeanie Smith, I will be gaining experience in areas like photography videography, and even getting to expose myself to writing stories.

Through my role as Center assistant at Kumon I obtained skills that were great stepping stones through my journey to the workforce.-I obtained communication skills such as calling the parents in a professional manner about the work that the students missed and how they could make that up. I always spoke with the parents after class about anything they struggled with and their achievements. It was also important to speak with my boss about any concerns or anything she and other employees could improve on. -It was important to have a structure throughout the class period. It was important to have a set time that each student came to class at so not too many kids would be in class at once. It was also important that each teacher had a clean and tidy workspace so the students could efficiently work-It was so important that I was trusted in the work environment. I was trusted to show up at my scheduled shift and do the work that needed to be done. It was also important to the parents that their children were improving and were getting taught during the class period. Due to the fact that the parents were paying good money to put their children in this program.

During My internship through, the city of Wentzville I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge through all areas of Digital Media. Including Photography, Flyer Design, Content Creation, Project research, and Website Design.

During my employment as a Junior Counselor at the YMCA, I spent three months taking care over Kindergarten and first grade aged kids. I had to develop skills like Problem solving, communication, cooperation, patience, and creativity. While caring for kids when a kid was upset or came to me with problem I had too quickly and efficiently come up with a solution. I had to communicate with my coworkers what we gonna do next places I was traveling too and any problems I was having.

In this role I interacted with customers to take their order I took time packaging customers orders. I had to work along side with customers that weren't very flexible and use problem solving skills to properly communicate and accomplish a solution.
