Working in Briggs Library, on archival work. This internship allowed me to gain an understanding of archival theory and methods. I became familiar with the archival software that we used, ArchivesSpace, which is an open-source archival management tool. This internship also really allows me to use my organization skills in a setting that is directly related to my desired work field.

My main responsibilities during a normal shift was customer service; making sure the customer had everything they needed while informing them on sales or deals for the day. On top of this making sure the store fit aesthetic expectations, inventory needs, as well as cleaning procedures every hour. Being a retail job, it taught me more about personal interaction, patience, and multitasking.

During this remote internship I worked directly with EDG’s curatorial and development mentors who have over 40 years of cumulative experience. I interfaced with museum directors, curators, exhibition planning departments, suppliers, partners, lenders and clients in the exhibition realm. During this time I was really able to establish professional skills as well as organization and time management.

Seasonal and/or when needed. My responsibilities included measuring water intake andactivity level, medication management, meal preps, and assisting with overall well-being.

Opening, closing, and maintaining concession stand operations, running a small stand on my own and keeping track of the different elements that need to be taken care of at and before closing.As a coach of younger kids, I had to troubleshoot in different situations dependent on resources. I taught kids the fundamentals of playing on a team and followed lesson plans according to skill level.
