• Annual budget preparation• Forecasting and reporting for revenues and expenses related to the department.• Strategic planning of marketing materials and promotions with the marketing team.• Manage the daily operations of the events team, including hiring, training, monitoring productivity and planning for their development.• Monitor compliance with the hotel and company standards within the department (with daily functions and contracts). • Maintain relationships with both customers and vendors.• Monitor booking requests to ensure proper use of the events space and maximize revenues.• Negotiate and attend to large-scale groups and conferences.

- Report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing- Handle key accounts for events and the hotel’s large conferences and groups.- Responsible for the events sales team- Produce reports pertaining to the events department (for both social and corporate events) and Zara Expo.- Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Revenue Manager to maximize revenues for the department and the hotel.- Conduct weekly meetings for pace of events and groups as well as internal communications to ensure customers expectations are met.- Plan and organize some of the hotel’s special events.- Conduct team discussions and feedback sessions for employee engagement survey.

Responsible for sales of MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) groups at Grand Hyatt Amman. Also responsible for training all team members on response standards and best practices.
