Lydia Porter is an Engineering Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the water and wastewater industry. She has worked with Black & Veatch since 2016 and currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina. She is a graduate of Clemson University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics. Her time with Black & Veatch thus far has given her opportunities to work in various stages of projects including design, construction management, and water and wastewater planning. Lydia's emphasis is on collection and distribution design work. She has worked on linear projects in Forsyth County, Georgia; Columbia, Gaffney, Greenville, and Powdersville, South Carolina answering comments from clients during design phases, modeling in AutoCAD, developing drawings and specifications, acquiring permits, assisting in bid phase, and assisting in construction phase inspections.Lydia has served as Black & Veatch's Quality Management System Champion in the Atlanta, GA and Greenville, SC offices from 2017 to 2022; the regional office leader for Greenville, SC from 2022 to present, and as the East region section leader for the Engineering Manager group since 2024. She is also a member of WEASC- Blue Ridge Foothills District and SCAWWA, where she has served as membership committee chair, and currently serves as the secretary for the Executive Committee.
