As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at CU Boulder, I teach undergraduate laboratory and recitation sections for General Statistics (PSYC), Foundations of Neuroscience I & II (NRSC), and Biological Psychology (PSYC). Knowing Neurons is an award-winning creative education and outreach nonprofit run entirely by early-career neuroscientists. We create accurate, accessible science multimedia content. We train young scientists in science communication, policy, and outreach to help build the next generation of leaders. Our team includes 80 scientists from over 40+ institutions and represents over 15 countries globally, making us the largest neuroscience communication and outreach platform in the world. Our content has reached readers in 190 countries with 30,000 readers monthly.As CEO, I have focused on building community within the organization; creating more opportunity for in-person outreach; setting up the data analytics and UX research department; used research insights to increase our readership globally; and, increasing our yearly revenue two-fold.

I led the Fundraising team which consisted of 10 team members. I helped develop the Fundraising department to include grant writing, fundraising, and relations. I facilitated partnerships with 3 major organizations. My team secured multiple grants and sponsors under my supervision.

I partnered with various teams to develop project plans, applied for grants, and assisted with project management.Some of our recent projects: - We organized local outreach neuroscience education workshops for high school and university students in underrepresented communities across multiple states.- We held an international science policy paper competition to give opportunity for early career neuroscientists to sharpen their policy writing skills and share their ideas.- We translated neuroscience multimedia content into Spanish, Portuguese, German, Turkish, and Italian, increasing our viewership globally, especially in the Global South. We have launched fully Spanish, Turkish, and German versions of our website.

CU Boulder’s Designing for Defense (previously called Hacking for Defense) program connects interdisciplinary student teams with Defense and Intelligence communities to tackle real-world national security challenges. My teammates and I are partnering with the Space Force to develop tools and applications to interrogate space objects of interest.- Leading a team of 6 interdisciplinary students focusing on developing tools, applications, and processes to interrogate objects of interest for evidence of camouflage, concealment, deception, or maneuver for space domain awareness.- Leveraging the entrepreneurial and Lean startup methodologies to launch a start up- Conducted 50+ foundational beneficiary interviews in less than 3 months to inform business model and product development- Presented weekly status updates to inform stakeholders on results of UX research & developed pitch deck- Developing an AI/ML algorithm for space object evaluation and risk assessment

While I worked as a Behavioral Health Counselor at the Intensive Treatment Unit at the Eating Recovery Center, I aimed to provide compassionate and evidence-based care to my patients.
