ProQuest acquired SIPX in 2015.The SIPX platform was a highly scalable cloud-based system cloud-deployed on AWS with deep custom integrations into multiple payment systems and five Learning Management Systems (LMS / CMS). SIPX was deeply API integrated to a wide variety of different data and service providers both within and outside the AWS ecosystem. As the Chief Scientist at Tumri, I've mostly been generating prototypes and scalable first-generation implementations of different components, such as the iCornerStore ad. server, the catalog content processing and classification pipeline, analytics infrastructure, image processing infrastructure, etc., but have also written FLEX UIs and integrated Tumri's platform with the AppNexus real-time-bidding platform. Tumri was recently acquired by Collective Media (collective.com). Following the implosion of Commerce One, licensed the core technology of the eMPC catalog engine, and continued its development, adding a powerful ETL capability to allow processing of massive catalogs in a wide variety of schematic and ontological formats. Created the leading integrated B2B merged taxonomy search, handling many dozens of versions of UNSPSC and eClass (amongst other standards). Like the application in Commerce One, Semantic Sciences focused its business model on the B2B catalog space. When Semantic Sciences folded, acquired the rights to the software.

Continued the development of the iMerge virtual database/semantic data integration engine and led its development into eMPC, Commerce One's Electronic Marketplace Catalog, targeted at the Business-to-Business (B2B) space. The eMPC catalog engine was novel at the time by featuring parametric and taxonomic search, in addition to keyword search. The parametric search capability allowed users to search for products parametrically using their own preferred systems of units (i.e., Metric vs. Imperial), languages and currencies, irrespective of the units used in the product specifications. Sundry patents filed - abandoned when Commerce One tanked. eMPC contained its own multi-language keyword search capability, and HTTP server, both of which I wrote.Technologies: Windows, Solaris, Databases, SQL Server, Oracle, Common Lisp, Allegro CL, CLOS, MOP, C, HTTP, HTML, etc.

Developed the iMerge semantic data integration/virtual database engine. Mergent Systems focused on the application of its data integration technology towards merging schematically- and ontologically-heterogeneous product catalogs so as to make richly parametrically searchable cross-merchant product catalogs. Mergent Systems was acquired by Commerce One after only a few months.
