Biography Born in Indonesia and raised in the Netherlands, Lydia Soedadi is one of the female powerhouses of the Dutch bar industry. After completing a study in Interior design, she soon discovered her passion lay in hospitality and providing her guests with extraordinary service. Her career as a bartender started nearly nine years ago in the ARC, one of Amsterdam’s gay hotspots, and grew rapidly from there, working herself up to bar and club manager at Rain. Her attention to detail, creativity and innovation as a bartender were rewarded when she was awarded “Best Bartender” in The Netherland in 2008. A succession of manager / trainer positions in bars, clubs, and hotels around the world helped her develop her product knowledge, service excellence, and most importantly, her training skills. With her “hands on” training methods and unwavering loyalty to her “flock” of students, Lydia has successfully proven herself to be one of the most successful bar trainers in The Netherlands , with her students and bar teams winning several competitions over the past 5 years.Currently one of the founding partners at XO Hospitality and the Guardian of Tales & Spirits, Lydia is constantly working behind the scenes to raise the level of the Dutch bar industry, and can often be found on industry panels and competition judging committees.
