Duties involved in my placement year role included using good interpersonal communication and organisational skills when accompanying the Lord Mayor to events, photography for social media and press releases, and film work for the Lord Mayor’s blog. Liaison with the Lord Mayor, other departments and councilors when arranging media interviews and coverage for the press, demonstrating effective time management, organisation and communication skills in person and via telephone. Strong written communication skills for press releases and content for the Belfast City Council website, along with content creation for the residential magazine City Matters. The demonstration of good customer care and interpersonal skills allowed me to successfully represent and enhance the image of Belfast City Council, whilst show casing strong teamwork skills to reach shared targets. The successful competition of my placement year resulted in earning my Diploma of Professional Practice with Distinction.

Working remotely to create a weekly fashion blog article for the HenorStag website, with a hen party theme. Strong written communication skills and use of initiative and creativity to create fresh, interesting, professional and engaging content. Proficient use of time management when working to deadlines. Victoria Square, Belfast

Duties involved in the role included using good communications skills when interacting with the public, both in person and on the phone, building strong relationships with customers, displaying strong design and product knowledge and passion. Strong organisational skills and use of initiative within event management, such as Collection Preview evenings and Personal Stylist events with clients. Liaison with Victoria Square Personal Stylist for work with clients and assisting in Victoria Square in-house events, such as the Victoria Square Spring Summer 2014 Pop-up Sales event, displaying good communication, leadership and organisational skills. As a passionate and driven member of the Reiss team I created a good experience for the customer in store, building a strong Reiss experience and delivering a successful sales performance with high productivity and ATV levels. Other skills involved use of tills, cash handling, stock taking, liaison with London Head Office, visual merchandising and trained in men’s suit tailoring and alteration services.

Valley Leisure Centre, Newtownabbey

Duties involved organisation and supervision of children aged 8-14 in a wide range of activities. Good communication skills, team work, reliability and organisational skills were essential to my role as summer scheme leader. I had the opportunity to deal with the general public and to build good relationships with both children and parents.
