USCGC Polar Star: 13,000-ton, 399' cutters that typically breaks the channel for seasonal resupply to McMurdo Station in Antarctica. As Polar Star's Marine Science Officer, facilitated/executed all scientific initiatives and presented daily weather briefs to the command. This included an unprecedented survey of Arctic winter water in 2021 for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI), and a survey of Winter Quarters Bay and McMurdo Sound in 2022, including some previously unsurveyed waters. As Healy's Senior Watch Officer (SWO), supervised, trained, and mentored 12 Junior Officers s & 6 temporary-duty members from domestic and foreign Navies.
