• Utilized Python module Apache Tika, an optical character recognition (OCR) learning tool, and fitz, a module that analyzes PDF files, in order to automatically capture SCD figures/tables images with correct captions and save to the shared drive, eliminating 3-4 hours per week in time spent manually capturing images and captions in spec PDFs• Integrated multiple SQL scripts into one single process, automating sanitization of data and migrating teardown data into the new database schema, ultimately saving at least 5 hours per week in manual querying keystrokes and validations• Modified the Cleansheet Macro using VBA, reducing total runtime from 45 minutes to 6 minutes and 14 seconds. • Developed machine learning forecasting tool for standards procurement, utilizing the negative binomial and gamma distributions, as well as Monte Carlo simulations, implementing an automated tool with SQL, Python, and Tableau, and yielding more accurate forecasting data, based on both forward-looking demand and 12 months of historical consumption • Designed a Python script using K-nearest neighbor algorithm and text mining with Regex, to automatically assign buyers to newly created parts in the ERPLN ordering system, analyzing assigned parts to determine which is most similar to the new part, and copying the similar item’s coding for the new part. Saved approximately 6 hours per week in manual tasks• Created reports in MANTIS for checking part contract information by CN and part number, using SQL and SQL report builder, allowing engineers to check whether part is on contract before changing the BOM. Prior to this, no such tool existed, and engineers would change the BOMs without checking for existing contracts, which causes lead time delays.
