Profile bio

About Lydia Clement

I currently work in the ambulance service, in the role of Ambulance Nurse, working in a scope of practice, of a paramedic. Prior to this I worked in a Trauma Unit Emergency Department within Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. Whilst in this role and during the Covid 19 Pandemic, I completed a 9 month secondment to the role of A&E Junior Sister, and a 6 month secondment to Critical Care, where I completed the ESICM C19 SPACE course, this was during the second wave of the Pandemic. My career began in Weston Area Health Trust Accident and Emergency Department, where I gained 12 months of A&E experience, initially in the role of Band 4 Nurse Awaiting PIN, and then in the role of Registered Nurse when I qualified in February 2017. I have also worked as a Palliative and End of Life nurse, on the bank for Weston Hospicecare where I worked on the inpatient unit. I have a wealth of experience, knowledge and transferable skills, which I have gained from a variety of voluntary roles, (including Advanced First Aider and Special Police Officer) my health care employment and time working in the industrial environment of a decommissioning nuclear power station. All of which I feel are applicable to working in critical care, the Emergency Department and ultimately the pre-hospital setting.

Listed skills include Infection Control, Healthcare, Teamwork, Animal Husbandry, and 16 others.
