The River Arts, Inc. (RAI) is a non-profit organization aiming to inspire, enrich, and educate the community through the arts.The position of Executive Director at RAI involves managing the organization's human and financial resources to achieve its mission. The responsibilities cover all aspects of the organization including fundraising and development, administration, programming, and marketing. The Executive Director also functions as the chief operating officer and reports to the Board of Directors via the Board President.The primary duties of the Executive Director encompass fundraising and development. This includes managing the annual budget, fundraising for the organization’s annual corporate and membership programs, sourcing and writing grants, and effectively communicating with donors. The role also includes representing the organization at conferences and community events.Administration duties involve overseeing committees and managing employees, and numerous volunteers. This includes coordinating volunteer recruitment and training, managing day-to-day operations, handling accounting and financial reporting, and working with the Board of Directors to create and implement the Strategic Plan. The role also includes programming responsibilities such as promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives, programming live music series, planning annual outreach programs, and executing annual fundraising events.The marketing aspect of the role includes planning and managing all marketing and promotional strategies and creating marketing material for various channels.
