During my time at Barton, I helped coach the jumping and long distance events throughout the day. I supervised not only practices on the track, but also created the strength and conditioning programs for the groups and reviewed this plans with the head coach before implanting them. At track meets I was also competing as an individual athlete, while taking extra time to watch my athletes compete and communicate with them to see how they were doing.

As an assistance coach, I helped teach the hurdle, jumps and sprint events by developing training plans prior to practices and also communicating with the head coach about athletes' progression, their well-being (physically and mentally). At track meets, I'd make sure athletes were where they needed to be to check in for events, supervised their warmups and gave coaching tips between events to help them make proper adjustments.During my time at Cummings, our indoor and outdoor girl's team won 3 state championship titles in a row. Most of those athletes went on to compete in college on athletic scholarship.
