Lead teams to deliver cross-discipline products rapidly using an Agile approach defining paths to deliver $500M+ savings. Shell TechWorks is an open innovation programme which brings together entrepreneurs and technology start-ups from outside the energy industry. Its goal is to find faster, more cost-effective ways to deliver technologies that the industry needs, for environments where safety is paramount, to produce more energy now and in the future.

Assist the package manager in project control and reporting, setting up project management processes and tools to track progress, and coordinate with engineering team and contractors within the Turret package of one of TOTAL's major project, KAOMBO. Ensure the technical and contractual commitments are preserved on the contractor and company side. Lead engineering coordination restructuration with the two main contractors to achieve a better focus on key issues and weekly status updates in order to stay on track of a very aggressive schedule.• Developed the engineering dashboard aggregating 330 key requirements from 9 disciplines for monitoring quality and change management, created a master document register progress analysis tool, and designed an Excel tool linking a 150-item procurement schedule and 800 engineering documents to enable control on readiness for procurement.• Oversaw progress on technical queries and deviations with technical leads, reviewed fabrication schedules and monitored availability of required deliverables for launching fabrication activities within three yards (Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Angola), and established the basis for procurement execution follow-up by building relationships with suppliers and ensuring resources were in place.

Managed the engineering contract and delivered basic engineering followed by value engineering and a second round of basic engineering to cover additional fields development in West of Shetlands (UK). Planned each project from 5-10 months, completing on time and 10% below budget. Defined and led the interface management between contractors, vendors, operations, geosciences and drilling, building a constructive work environment to organise activities, discuss and solve technical issues.Created and managed the engineering plan from scoping and initiation to close-out, managed the scope of requirements, technical queries and required change requests, completed value engineering to optimize design and achieve cost-saving development of the field, effectively led a cross-functional team, tracked and reported progress on cost, schedule, documents and key issue and organized project technical reviews.

Engaged in the setup and optimization of internal processes and tools for the projects division in support of global projects. • Improved contractor management through the creation of evaluation grids as presented to suppliers during management meetings, and helped build constructive relationships with strategic partners. Managed the content of the contractors’ database providing feedbacks and market research to support worldwide projects bidders’ lists.• Coordinated projects requirements change management, interfacing between projects and HQ, coordinating HQ scope change notices review by technical disciplines, and bringing down the approval cycle by 100% to two weeks for most changes. Updated the internal procedure for the management of scope requirements modifications.

Provided services to the Syrian Gas Company, managing brownfield site works and equipment procurement • Prepared technical studies for basic engineering, including flowlines sizing, pressure vessels sizing and safety engineering for a $100MM onshore brownfield project. Managed planning, engaged in documentation management, coached a project assistant and costs controller, participated in budget preparation and controlled TOTAL specifications compliance. Engaged in procurement and contract requirements, evaluating technical/commercial bids, clarifying technical aspects with vendors, and preparing the award recommendation. Handled site work coordination (60-80 people on site), managing the project’s tie-ins construction and pre-commissioning activities, and coordinated project activities with various stakeholders.• Coordinated activities between the customer, contractors and TOTAL HQ for a $4MM gas plant control systems upgrade project. Recruited and managed an instrumentation supervisor, controlled the execution of the contract with vendors, and achieved a successful upgrade during the plant planned shutdown in a complex context while the area was undergoing a civil war with goods embargos. • Delivered expert technical assistance at the DEZGas Plant, organizing and coordinating various maintenance activities and spare parts supplies, prospected new projects, and provided advice and support to plant site personnel.
