Result: Reduction in manual adjustments due to automation.• Documented and created SOPs for 85% of the Payroll Manager position. Result: Documentation exists ensuring continuity of payroll processing. • Instituted new process of running the Tax Recon Tool and Negative Wage Detail report after EVERY payroll is closed and before the taxes are sent to Ceridian. The result is that 90% of any fixes/updates for taxes and negative wages are completed TIMELY and prior to quarter end; therefore, quarter end runs smoother with less backtracking for errors. The remaining 10% of fixes is due to state tax rates changing late in the quarter and last minute manual checks, third party sick pay, and reversals. • Learned to create, update, and maintain GL codes in Ultipro. Result: Wise consulting is only called to create or update the GL codes in Ultipro that require more complicated settings. I am able to process, create, and maintain my own GL codes 98% of the time. • Streamlined and tightened payroll processes to ensure that the bi-weekly payroll is transmitted and closed on the Tuesday deadline. 100% adherence YTD. -
