SUMMIT Aspiring Leader Program participant rotating through the hotel's Banquet and Stewarding departments - holding a managerial role at each location. In my 13 months as a Banquets Manager I worked collectively with a team of 5 to oversee 55,000 square feet of meeting space and more than 80 colleagues including servers, bussers, barbacks, bartenders, and housemen. Gained experience managing functions ranging in size from 10-1,200 including Receptions, Weddings, Fundraising Galas, and Corporate Events. Trained using software programs including Evention, OPERA Sales and Catering, MICROS, and Silverware. As a Stewarding Manager, I worked alongside the department's Director in overseeing 50 colleagues including dishwashers, banquet stewards, kitchen stewards, recycling technicians. Provided operational support to the hotel's two restaurant outlets, In-Room Dining Department, Banquets Department, and main kitchen through the means of supplies, cleanliness, and sanitation.
