I have had the privilege of leading Muadifam Enterprises and Associate Companies, a multifaceted family business established in 2001. In this role, I worked in close partnership with the Managing Members, driving strategic thinking that underpinned our operational goals. My primary focus was to provide credible and adaptable leadership to our department managers, encouraging their active participation in our strategic development. With a strong emphasis on growth, I maintained a climate of customer focus and set the tone for effective business development.

In my previous position as a Projects and Procurement Manager, I concentrated on ensuring the successful completion of projects within their defined scope, budget, and schedule. I collaborated closely with external stakeholders and the skilled professionals and subcontractors on our project team. Throughout different construction phases, I took on the role of monitoring the team's progress and providing input on architectural and interior design decisions as needed. Additionally, I was responsible for overseeing the bidding process and maintaining a high standard of quality for bid submissions. With my background in project management and procurement, I was committed to contributing to the success of projects and supporting the growth of the organisation.

In my capacity as a Property Manager, I have had the privilege of overseeing the operations, maintenance, and marketing of the associate company, Nansunga Properties, property portfolio. My responsibilities encompass the critical tasks of sourcing and securing tenants, diligently managing leases and nurturing tenant relationships.

Katly Investment, an associate company to Muadifam Enterprises, stands as a dynamic Namibian transdisciplinary company, proudly owned by a 100% female youth team. At our core, we are deeply committed to fostering innovation and nurturing collaborations in the realms of design, strategy, and supply chain management.I undertake an array of essential responsibilities. This includes proactively leading and nurturing partnerships with agencies and subcontractors, fostering a culture of collaboration and cultivating an environment for mutual growth. As a Creative Project Manager, I meticulously oversee project teams, providing guidance and management with a focus on managing time and budgets. My approach is firmly rooted in creative and strategic thinking, enabling us to explore territories within the design disciplines' industries.A notable aspect of my role involves the creative project management of the compilation, design and printing of annual reports—a collaborative effort with associate companies awarded through open national bidding. Highlight accomplishments encompass my role as the Creative Project Manager in guiding projects like the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Integrated Annual Reports for 2020/21, 2021/22, and 2022/23, as well as the Namibia Airports Company (NAC) Annual Reports for 2020/21, 2020/22, and 2019/20, alongside the Namibia Water Corporation (NAMWATER) Integrated Annual Report for 2021/22.

I was selected as one of 40 candidates out of more than 100 applicants from built-environment discipline professionals nationwide in Namibia to participate in the prestigious International Urban Design Workshop. This workshop, organized by the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), brought together professionals from various fields to collaboratively address urban design challenges.The workshop focused on innovative urban design solutions, sustainable development, and community-centric planning. Participants engaged in hands-on design projects, interactive sessions, and presentations from leading experts in the field. This experience not only enhanced my skills in urban design but also provided a platform to network with professionals and contribute to meaningful urban development projects in Namibia.

The Malleable City, an invitation to work with award winning Urbanist David Rudlin (URBED),entailed a process of making,mapping and modelling a large-scale plasticine model of CoventryCity, at a scale of 1:1000 (5m square), illustrating the drastic changes of the past and presenturban fabric to Coventrian passbyers. Additionally, the session illustrated how the city can regrowand repair itself.

The "Looking & Seeing" project by David Rudlin, part of the [IN]Site residency at City Arcadia, explored the past, present, and imagined future of Coventry's planning history. The residency involved creating plasticine models of Coventry city centre to map and analyze its development. The project consisted of three parts:1. Mapping: Comparing modernist and traditional city planning.2. Artist’s Impression: Visualizing the reality of urban life versus architectural renderings.3. The Malleable City: Building a large-scale plasticine model to illustrate potential urban regeneration.

The Market Place project on the Herero Mall in Katutura was a multifaceted initiative aimed at integrating informal market practices into urban planning. Here are the key elements of the project:1. Collaborative Planning: The project involved a co-productive approach where local traders and urban planners worked together to design and implement improvements to the Herero Mall. This collaboration aimed to ensure that the needs and practices of the traders were central to the development process.2. Spatial Interventions: The project included practical spatial interventions designed to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the market space. These interventions were developed through participatory design workshops and consultations with the traders.3. Addressing Informality: A significant aspect of the project was to challenge the traditional binary between formal and informal urban practices. By recognising the legitimacy of informal market activities, the project sought to create a more inclusive urban development model that integrates informal economies into the broader urban fabric.4. Sustainable Development: The project aimed to promote sustainable development by improving the infrastructure and conditions of the Herero Mall. This included addressing issues such as sanitation, shelter, and accessibility to create a safer and more efficient market environment.5. Community Empowerment: Through the participatory process, the project empowered local traders by giving them a voice in the development process. This empowerment was crucial for fostering a sense of ownership and ensuring the sustainability of the improvements made.The Market Place project at the Herero Mall serves as an example of how informal markets can be integrated into formal urban planning processes, promoting more inclusive and sustainable urban development practices.
