Mentor Collective is the leading provider of impact-driven mentoring programs. MC partners with universities to provide all students with a relevant, trained peer, professional, or alumni mentor.Mentor Collective partner institutions have seen retention impacts ranging from 1% to 17%, with a total of over 21,000 mentorships created over the last 2 years.

Oversaw the EXCEL Program (a student success and retention program) by providing operational planning, program management and evaluation. I provide leadership and direction to 5 EXCEL Peer Mentors who support a caseload students in the program by connecting them with academic and personal resources, monitoring their academic progress and fostering their academic, personal, professional development.

Collaboratively trains and supervises 28 First Year Experience Peer Leaders Develops programs and initiatives geared toward students who would benefit most from support and resources in their first year

As the Programming and Assessment GA for the Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership program, I served as the main point of contact for prospective students and engaged in outreach to market Masters and PhD program to potential candidates. I developed a mentorship program to aid in transition and retention of incoming graduate students. I also assisted with various programming and events such as New Student Orientation, College Personal Association of Colorado’s Careers in Student Affairs Institute, and various graduate fairs, as well as evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of the programs. Additionally, I completed research and compiled findings for various faculty members' research proposals and articles

As a Test Center supervisor for National Tests that are administered on campus (including the ACT, SAT, GRE subject tests, LSAT, MPRE, and Praxis) I managed and directed proctors and room supervisors to ensure materials are accounted for and testing ran smoothly. I also maintained and ensured security of testing material, ensured proper testing environment, guarded against improper examinee behavior and addressed irregularities, complaints and other issues in a professional and prompt manner.

As an intern in the Case Management office I support the personal and academic success of students when they are faced with challenging situations and adversity including mental and emotional health and well-being, a personal or family crisis, the death of a loved one, illness or injury, or any other concern when a student might benefit from a coordinated needs assessment. I strive to apply theory to practice in order to understand developmental issues and needs of college students and then collaborate with appropriate resources to assist students of concern to support their success and retention.

While interning with the Student Athlete Academic Success Center, I assisted the Learning Specialist to advise and mentor the LEAP student-athletes, who were academically at-risk student-athletes or were facing special behavioral, academic, and personal challenges. My main responsibilities included:Aiding student-athletes in realizing their full potential through learning style assessment and study technique advisementMeeting one-on-one with student-athletes regarding current grades and upcoming assignments and assist them with scheduling studying and homework time in order to promote time-management skills, accountability, and autonomyConnecting the student-athletes with various campus resources to increase academic and personal success

As an intern in Career Services I established and maintained the Career Services Pinterest account to increase traffic to Career Services website and services. This role included researching and implementing Pinterest best practices as they apply to social media within higher education and developing a training session to familiarize staff with Pinterest website and best practices.
