Consultant turned industry executive turned AI tech nerd. Over the past decade, the common theme in my professional life has been: how can I help HR? Through running HR transformation programs, leading the HR technology and people analytics functions, and now designing technology solutions for the HR function, I have created a ❤️/💔 relationship with HR. I ❤️ that it is about the interaction of people and work, has lofty altruistic goals of making work better, and is trying really hard to prove its worth in the organization. I 💔 that it sometimes fears change, is missing the point on the importance of financial value and returns, and still doesn’t quite know what to do with the rapid technological developments.
