Over the thirty plus years of being a financial advisor, I have encountered a myriad of financial perspectives and circumstances. At this point in my career, my focus is helping folks on either side of the transition from a full-time career to what comes next. Most of us call this retirement, but from my experience, this time for most people is anything but retirement. During this transition, tends to be one of the places financial planning and advice is most vital. There are a host of financial decisions that need to be made and there is typically no way to get a redo. The questions that need answers range from, do I have enough money to retire, how do I invest my retirement rollover, when should I start taking my Social Security benefits, how do I optimize the taxes I’ll need to pay over my lifetime, and many others. I really enjoy working with people who have an abundance mind set. They’re able to hold their wealth with an open hand and look for opportunities to share it with others. They are confident that there are plenty of resources to go around so they don’t need to clutch and grab for everything they can get a hold of. These folks tend to be grateful and generous with all their resources.
