I use my project management skills for the creation, implementation and continual improvement of systems and processes, reinforcing and promoting value for money and outstanding provision. I identify, initiate, plan, and implement projects across multiple departments, monitoring progress whilst managing change. As a part of the Senior Leadership Team I help monitor performance and drive improvements. I lead teams of Estates, IT Support, Exams, Resource Centre and Office Staff, via Support Staff Managers to achieve college objectives.

As Vice Principal at Discovery School I am responsible for Curriculum and Learning and Teaching innovation. I have developed industry based projects which form the spine of the curriculum at Discovery School. All subjects are delivered with the Discovery Project in mind. Topics in all subjects are taught just in time (JIT) for the knowledge to be used in the Discovery Projects. The Discovery Projects cover 8 areas of Engineering - automotive, built environment, electronic, energy, marine engineering, chemical, civil, remote operations. Discovery School is the first of its kind; a new, industry-driven technical school for 14-19 year olds from Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham. I joined Monkseaton High School as a teacher of Design and Technology, teaching Engineering, Resistant Materials and Product Design. I progressed to Head of Department after one year and joined the New Build team. As part of the New Build team I liaised with the architects and engineers involved in the early stages of the design and development of our award winning new school building. I became school timetabler and helped lead on the schools curriculum development. During this time I enhanced my abilities in the management of complex and challenging curriculum and timetabling issues.
