− As a Graduate Trainee, an enormous amount of learning happened at the Nestlé East London plant. My love for Project Engineering grew at this facility under the guidance of the Factory Engineer and Project Engineer.− Responsibilities included project coordination and management of minor projects− Special projects: Rain Water Harvesting Project which involved using rain water to top up the ammonia plant cooling towers. The system involved storage tanks, a pressure transducer, a pump, inspection tank with pH and conductivity meter, Mobrey switch and relevant piping. All was controlled via a PLC and HMI.o Required skills: Project management; communication skills; data gathering and analysis; CAD drafting abilities and being able to interpret the drawings; basic PLC knowledge; budget management.
