Final agreement was unable to be secured, resulting in the difficult decision to dissolve the corporation.Innovative concept was a failure due to (1) decision to pursue "consumer agency / infomediary" business model vs social networking model (2) hesitancy to adjust to a "free" business model (3) wrong timing (too early?), and (4) execution.Interestingly, no company has figured out how to develop a sustainable consumer agent/infomediary model, but there are a number of teams currently leveraging the power of Blockchain technology to attempt to address this opportunity.

Was integrally involved in the marketing and eventual sale of Berlitz, culminating in the 1993 Institutional Investor magazine "Deal of the Year" (transaction value of $490 million). Shortly after closing the sale of the company, developed the turnaround strategy for money-losing division, Berlitz Translation Services, and was asked to execute the strategy (see above).
