On behalf of Democratic candidate for President, Hillary Clinton, served as the campaign’s point of contact to elected leaders in the northeast and southern regions of the country. Established and maintained high-level relationships with Governors, Members of Congress, and local elected officials, and managed over 25 organizers and press secretaries in states that helped to secure primary victories in Massachusetts, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi. Assisted in the strategic outreach, planning, and management of campaign events for Secretary Clinton and Former President Bill Clinton, to promote policy initiatives and “get out the vote” efforts. Responsible for securing endorsements and identifying opportunities for elected officials, community leaders, artists, and athletes to help amplify campaign policies and initiatives to targeted audiences and communities.

Served as the main point of contact between the Department and the White House Office of Public Engagement. Developed outreach strategies involving senior Commerce Department officials that promoted and amplified the administration’s priorities. Assisted in the planning and managing of international and domestic trips for the Secretary of Commerce that strategically promoted the Administration’s efforts to increase job creation, trade, and foreign direct investment. Served as the logistics lead for the 2014 U.S. Africa Business Forum, overseeing over 40 staff members, which was part of the largest gathering of nearly 50 African heads of state and more than 150 global CEO’s, along with the President, Vice President, cabinet members, and former President Clinton. Directed outreach efforts on the Gulf Coast Ecosystem and Restoration Council responsible for coordinating between 6 government agencies and the 5 gulf coast state Governors on plans to restore the ecosystem and economy of the region affected by the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. Advised on business and stakeholder outreach, and served as the main point of contact on LGBTQ public engagement resulting in the first ever partnership with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and a presidential cabinet department.

Served as primary coordinator for federal agencies to build and execute outreach events for the President’s National Export Initiative (NEI) and worked with the Secretary and senior administration officials to engage hundreds of businesses around the country. Established relationships with Governors offices, statewide and local officials, as well as business organizations. Traveled to the People’s Republic of China and the 2010 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Japan as a protocol officer, working with foreign government officials to coordinate official meetings between the Secretary and the trade ministers of China, Russia, Japan, and the Philippines.

Served as liaison between White House offices, federal agencies, and external organizations on education and enrollment efforts for the ACA. Managed and designed events for the President, Vice President, and the Second Lady of the United States that highlighted enrollment efforts around the ACA. Served as the site advance lead responsible for the arrival and departure ceremonies for President Barack Obama’s 2014 state visit to the Republic of the Philippines.

Greater Seattle Area

Directed the Council’s VISTA AmeriCorps program and supervised VISTA members and service site supervisors in under-resourced communities in Seattle. Served as Communications Director for the Council. Oversaw the drafting of talking points and publishing of the Council newspaper, website, and program brochures. Assisted the Director of Social Justice Ministries with advocacy and outreach to state and local governments, stakeholders, and congregations.

Member of the Governors’ senior team. Managed the Governor’s advance staff and regional outreach offices. Implemented the Governor’s outreach strategy, including event planning and management, and stakeholder coordination. Developed outreach plans for the Governor’s Cabinet to promote the Governor’s agenda through message and outreach events. Established the Governor’s Faith Based Advisory Board, which brought faith-based leaders to Olympia to advise the Governor on key issues.
